Pomme de Terre Campground

The PDT Campground hosts 28 campsites.  All sites are available on a first come first serve basis, no reservations available.

Camping is $25 a night with water and electric hookup and $20 for a tent site.  Weekly rates are $100 without electric and water and $140 with electric and water.  The park is not staffed and payment envelopes are available using the kiosk off to the left when you enter the park.

Please Note,

If you plan on having a fire while in the campground, only firewood certified by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture or the USDA or kiln dried, unpainted, unstained, and free from foreign objects is allowed within the campground. Firewood that meets these requirements can be purchased from the grocery store and gas stations in town.

This is to help stop the Emerald Ash Borer from entering Morris and Stevens County. Currently the EAB has made it to Sauk Centre. On its own, it will not make it to Morris for at least 40 years. But if contaminated firewood is brought to Morris, it will become a problem much sooner. Ash trees make up over 35% of our urban canopy which provides energy savings and other benefits to our residents. The Morris Tree Board and the City Forester have already begun efforts to diversify current and future tree plantings. However, if EAB appears in Morris tomorrow it could destroy a significant portion of our urban tree canopy and have negative economic impacts on all Morris residents.
