Morris Rental Licensing Program
The City of Morris established a Residential Rental Property Registration & Licensing Ordinance in 1999 which is administered by the Stevens County Housing & Redevelopment Authority (HRA).
- All Rental properties must be registered, inspected, and license fees paid before advertising or renting a property.
- License will be mailed out once inspections have passed and fees have been paid.
- Current licenses must be posted at the property.
- An annual license renewal with fees for rental property is required.
- Inspections are on a 4-year cycle with first inspection happening upon initial instatement as a rental property.
Program Goals
The goals of the Morris Rental Licensing Program are to:
• Educate tenants and landlords
• Provide accessible informative documents
