The Morris City Council shall exercise legislative power of the City and determine all matters of policy. They do this through hiring a City Manager who shall be the head of the administrative service of the City government and shall be responsible to the Council for the proper administration of all affairs relating to the City. The City Council meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 5:15 in the Community Center Council Chambers.
These positions are the only elected board and commission member positions in the city. Elections are held in even years and an individual interested in running for office will need to file their intent with the City Clerk.
