Morris Rental Housing Commission

The City of Morris established a Resident Rental Property Registration & Licensing Ordinance in 1999 which is administered by the Morris Housing & Redevelopment Authority (HRA). In 2007, the City Council also created the City of Morris Rental Housing Commission with the purpose of creating commonly acceptable solutions to problems that arise among landlords, tenants, and community members.

Commission Goals

The goals of the Morris Rental Housing Commission are to:

• Educate tenants and landlords

• Provide accessible informative documents

• Establish strong concepts about both tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities.
