The Morris Police Department consists of 7 sworn personnel, two civilian positions, and the Chief of Police.
The Morris Police Department takes an active role in the community with its members serving on a number of local organizations including: the Lions Club, the Eagles club, and the healthy youth initiative. Its members also serve as coaches for youth hockey, baseball, softball and football.
The Morris Police Department takes a proactive roll in local and regional law enforcement efforts. The department is active with the Region 4 Task Force on missing and exploited children. This group of over 30 departments is set up for quick response to reports of missing children. Additionally the Morris Police Department is a member of the CVI Drug Task Force. The task force covers a large portion of west central Minnesota.
Although small, the department offers many prevention programs for its citizens including: the D.A.R.E. Program, bicycle safety, crime prevention for seniors, self-defense courses, and Fatal Vision a drinking and driving prevention classes just to name a few.
