ELIGIBILITY FOR HOUSING
|
AGE
|
|
|
Priority is given to people over 62 or disabled, as defined
by the Social Security Act. Applicants must meet the income requirements
below.
|
|
INCOME LIMITS
|
|
|
Annual income may not exceed:
|
$34,150 for a one-person family
$39,050 for a two-person family
|
|
|
APARTMENTS
|
|
|
One-bedroom, studio, and handicapped accessible apartments are
available. All with oak cabinets and closet doors. Carpet in the living
room and bedroom, linoleum in the kitchen and baths. Kitchens have a
pantry, electric-ignition gas ranges, and frost-free refrigerators.

|
RENT
|
|
|
Rent is determined by income, assets, and medical
expenses. The rent ranges from $50 to $424. GrandView is subsidized by the federal Department of Housing
& Urban Development. A security
deposit of $150 is required.
|
|
UTILITIES
|
|
|
Heat, gas, electricity, water, sewage, and garbage service are included
in the rent. Cable TV, car plug-ins, and air conditioner plug-ins are
available for a small seasonal fee.
|
|
DINING
|
|
|
A hot noon meal is available in our dining room Monday-Friday through
funding from the Minnesota Board on Aging. Frozen meals are also
available for weekends or evenings. A donation of $3.25 per meal is
recommended.
|
SERVICES
Home Care Services are available at
Grandview Apartments through a contract with New Dimensions Home Health Care.
A Resident Coordinator is
available to help residents maintain their health and independence with
education, exercises and an assortment of other activities.
A large Community Room and a
smaller Conference Room, both with kitchen
facilities, are available meetings and/or entertaining.
The Resident's Club plans
Potlucks, Bingo, Birthday Parties and other activities. Card playing and
coffee hour occur daily.
