Snow Removal for Residential and Commercial Properties
This winter snow season, it is important to understand the City policy concerning snow removal. Residential and commercial property owners are required to remove snow from their sidewalks within 12 hours after a snowfall.
Snow removal is a common sense thing. You do not have to do it when it is still snowing. Twenty four hours after the snowfall, the City will begin the process of checking and notifying property owners that fail to remove their snow. You cannot push your snow or blow your snow on the streets or your neighbor’s property. The property owner cannot assign their responsibility to a leaseholder or renter. You cannot wait for the snow to melt as a solution to the problem.
